An Act of Grievous Self Harm

When we see someone self harming we try to get them help. If it is severe we may have an intervention and draw in support from all quarters. It is not easy to help someone who is in a downward spiral. The physical act of self harm is only the symptom and used to release a greater psychological pain which hides the true cause. It is extremely difficult to stop the act of self harm without addressing the root problem when the one harming will not open up or face their problems. That is not to say the act of grievous self harm cannot be prevented and even stopped but it is something that the person has to live with, scars and all.

But what happens when it is a collective psychologically in pain and actively self harming? How do we get them to address the root problem? We can draw their attention to the fact that they are committing acts of self harm but getting them to face it is even more of a challenge. Not only do you have to contend with helping an individual face the pain and live with the scars but you have to do it with them all. The niggling doubts crop up, herd behaviour kicks in and it becomes a reflexive response. So when that collective is a nation, a country and a state what do we do? The Scots refuse to acknowledge that they are committing acts of grievous self harm despite the scars being on public display. Psychologically they are frail. They will not face the root of their problem and therefore will not address it. Instead herd behaviour has kicked in. Niggling doubts fill those who may have been able to escape the vicious cycle of self harming, holding them back from seeking help and support, and those trying to help are fighting against the tide.

The root of the problem is a dysmorphic one. The Scots see themselves as lesser. As an appendage to another entity - England, and that the entity therefore controls everything about them. The herd response is to accept being an appendage instead of facing the truth, that they are a separate entity capable of controlling themselves without any interference from the other entity. That they are a sovereign nation state despite their state being heavily scarred both physically and psychologically.

So how do we help? Can we help and do they want our help? There are some within the collective, the nation, who do want help. We must silence those niggling doubts and replace them with core facts. Facts that they can call upon when those self harming seek to draw them back.

So what are the facts that they can use to get at the root of their problem?

Scotland is a sovereign (highest authority that cannot be superceded) nation state.

It is in an international Agreement with England as an EQUAL partner with equal authority to the treaty.

All states have the inalienable right to dissolve a treaty (if in a binary treaty) or to leave a treaty (if in a multi party treaty).

The state within a treaty retains all its rights prior to and after the signing. (This is emphasised in the treaty of 1707.)

To further aid their recovery the facts of the treaty of 1707 can be of help.

There is no GB government

No parliamentary sovereignty

No constitution

(These are the control centres used to rationalise a false reality as seen through the dysmorphic's eyes as they justify being an English appendage.)

No institutions bar a shared treasury

No territorial border

No legal system

No capital

No military

(These make up the body of the entity.)

No religion

No party political system

No Majority rule/dominion

(These are used to form the perceptions in order to justify their self harm having instilled a false belief regarding the control and body of the entity to which they believe they are an appendage.)

By sticking to the facts these false perceptions can be removed and the illusion of the others can be viewed for what they are - false narratives that the collective uses to keep the herd self harming. Once the illusion is truly seen they can take measures to stop self harming and can help others.

So here we are, Scotland is a sovereign nation state in an international Agreement and an equal partner with equal authority to the state. Scotland's government and its representatives must be held accountable for the abdication of responsibility for the governance of Scotland and their subjugation of Scotland causing the herd mentality that has seen the dysmorphia arise and acts of grievous self harm.

Together we can draw back the curtain to reveal the illusion and expose the truth. An act that will free the Scots from lessening themselves and treating themselves as an appendage.

May the scars be forever a reminder of the illusion that the Scots will no longer accept.
